Hello there!

My name is Maggie Povroznik and I started XO Sugar Home Bakery in September 2023. My journey into the world of baking started during my freshman year of high school. I loved watching baking competition shows such as Cupcake Wars and Holiday Baking Championship and wanted to be just like the bakers I saw on the screen. I started experimenting with baking and over the years, baking transformed from a hobby into a full-blown business.

I love being able to take someone’s idea or theme and turn it into something sweet and beautiful. Whether it’s sugar cookies, a birthday cake, or cupcakes, I truly enjoy the process of customizing each dessert to match the moment it’s made for. There’s something so special about being part of someone’s celebration, and I feel grateful every time I get to create something that brings a little extra joy to someone’s day!

My home bakery operates under Texas Cottage Food laws, enabling me to prepare and sell baked goods from the comfort of my home kitchen. Complying with the law, I hold a Food Handler's license, obtained through the completion of a comprehensive training program focusing on safe food handling practices. Operating under cottage food laws has not only allowed me to transform my love for baking into a small business but also provides the opportunity to share my homemade treats with the local community.
